What is a reed switch?
Dry reed switch is an electromechanical switch component, which contains two ferromagnetic reeds in a sealed glass shell. These components can be used in almost any environment. Their overall structure is very simple, and their temperature coefficient and glass expansibility are completely matched with NiFe reed-opening and closing contacts through simple magnet interaction. They are closed or opened in the presence (or absence) of a magnetic field, and do not consume any power in the normally open state. When the "switch" enters the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet or electromagnetic coil, "on and off" will occur.
With this simple structure and operation, the reed switch has almost no wear in the operation process, so it can be reliably applied to all walks of life, and can be "switched" for billions of operations. Nowadays, reed switch technology has been used in almost all market fields, including testing and measuring equipment, medical electronics, telecommunications, automobiles, security, home appliances, general use and so on. The global demand for reed switches is growing faster than ever, and it is in short supply at present.
